I went back to work yesterday. I came to work today. There’s not that much to do, since the students don’t come back until the 26th. I’ve already started writing the first exam, after getting the PowerPoints finished, photocopying the agendas, and doing lab inventory. We’re all set for opening week! I may come in tomorrow just to tidy up and get the text books for the professors in order. I haven’t seen Carl yet, but the week is still young. I wonder if this means he quit? If so, I want his lecture days! They can hire a new lab assistant professor, I want lectures!
I was last here in March and nothing has really changed. I’m still in the walk-in-closet office, Dr. Bishop is still ruling over me with a heavy thumb, and I get free coffee from Starbucks all day, since I’m on the staff now. Woo hoo! Free lattes!
Chloe, James and Ashe start school on the 26th as well. Chloe will be going into the fourth grade and the boys are starting kindergarden. To celebrate her going to the big elementary portion of her school, I bought Chloe a pen and mechanical pencil set and a Badtz-Maru three-way writer. I ordered one for myself, too. I hope she likes it!
